The Trust Celebrates 20 Year Anniversary with Building Light-Up Tribute in the Heart of Downtown Miami

Several iconic landmarks to light up as part of the anniversary tribute on September 7

The Children's Trust is approaching the culmination of its 20th Anniversary celebrations this year, with a final thank you to the community. Excitement is growing for a grand finale that will light up the heart of Miami's downtown skyline and other landmark buildings across Miami-Dade County in a breathtaking tribute scheduled for September 7. The buildings will light up in The Trust's vibrant green-pantone hue as the evening unfolds, delighting both locals and visitors.

Since its inception, The Trust has been an instrumental driving force in the community, offering essential financial support to hundreds of organizations directly improving the lives of children and families. Twenty years ago, on September 10, 2002 Miami-Dade County voters approved a referendum to establish The Children's Trust, an entity dedicated to investing in, supporting and advocating for the well-being of children and families throughout the county.

"As we stand here today, The Children's Trust has a stronger influence than ever. With this influence comes profound responsibility and accountability. Looking ahead to the next 20 years and beyond, we must reflect on the path that has shaped us into an essential resource in the lives of Miami-Dade County's children and families," said The Children's Trust President & CEO James R. Haj.

From its extensive portfolio of funded programs to its broad network of partners, over the last 20 years, The Children's Trust has actively engaged over 2.2 million children, family members and those dedicated to serving them. As The Children's Trust looks back with pride and forward with determination, it invites the community to join in celebrating the grand finale of its  20th Anniversary celebration.
