Q. How much does membership in The Children’s Trust Book Club cost?
A. Nothing! Book Club membership is FREE, including mailing costs.
Q. Do I need to return the books to receive the next book of the month
A. Families can keep all the books received monthly. The purpose of the program is to help parents create a small library for their children at home.
Q. Can I choose bilingual books?
A. Books are available in English or Spanish. The Children’s Trust works tirelessly to purchase books in their bilingual (English/Spanish) versions whenever they are available. These bilingual books are mailed to registered families on a monthly basis based on inventory.
Q. Who is the Book Club for?
A. The Book Club is for children ages birth through their 5th birthday that live in Miami-Dade County. Parents or caregivers can register their children to receive books every month for free.
Q. How old do children need to be to participate?
A. Children can be registered to receive books every month from birth until they turn 5 years old. However, new registrations are only available until the age of 4 years and 6 months.
Q. Why haven’t I received a confirmation after registering?
A. If you have not received a confirmation email, please check your junk or spam email folder before contacting The Children’s Trust for confirmation.
Q. What happens if I move?
A. Membership information can always be updated online. Please log into your account and update your information with your new address. All address changes or updates will take affect the first day of the following month.
Q. What happens if I move out of Miami-Dade County?
A. The Book Club membership is for all Miami-Dade County residents with children from birth through their fifth birthday. If you move out of Miami-Dade County, a membership cancellation request is necessary by emailing bookclub@thechildrenstrust.org. The account can be reactivated if the family moves back to Miami-Dade County and their children are still younger than 5 years old by logging in to their account and updating their address information.
