Diana Ragbeer is co-chair of Mayor Daniella Levine Cava’s Blue Ribbon Children’s Commission. She also serves as President of BreastfeedMIAMI and a board member of the Florida Children’s Forum.
For over 14 years, Ms. Ragbeer served as Director of Public Policy and Communications, and later Community Engagement for The Children’s Trust, primarily overseeing legislative and advocacy efforts at the state and federal levels. She also served as chair of the policy and advocacy group for the Florida Children’s Services Council (now FACCT).
After leaving The Children’s Trust, Ms. Ragbeer served as the Monroe Managing Director of the Miami-Dade/Monroe Early Learning Coalition supporting the child care provider community, community partners, and Monroe County Coalition board members. She was also responsible for strategic planning and tactical operation of early learning programs/projects before seeking early retirement to care for her sick husband.
Prior to assuming responsibilities with The Children’s Trust, she worked for Miami-Dade County as the director of policy and legislative affairs and State Coordinator for the Office of Intergovernmental Affairs.
In past years, Ms. Ragbeer served as an appointed member of the Florida Governor’s Children and Youth Cabinet, a member of the Florida KidCare Board Operational Efficiency Committee, the Juvenile Justice Advisory Board, and a founder of The First 1,000 Days Florida Coalition to advocate for investments and policies for young children.
Ms. Ragbeer holds a Master of Arts Degree in Environmental Studies from the University of Waterloo, Ontario and is driven to continue her volunteer advocacy work on behalf of children during her retirement years.
