Jacqueline Exceus is a Professor at Florida National University since the Summer of June 2020. Born in Miami, Florida with parents from Haiti, Jacqueline is well oriented with all Caribbean Diasporas in the U.S. As a retired Crime Scene Investigator with over 10 years of experience working at the City of Miami Police Department, City of Miramar Police Department, and Miami-Dade County Medical Examiners Department, she has a great passion for investigation, and she enjoys lecturing as well. Ms. Exceus is extremely passionate about the law. She loves her community where advocates against crimes involving gun violence, is involved in Civic Engagement, and helps victims of child abuse gain access to resources. As a Family Advocate at Kristi House, “I’ve helped educate, did outreach with schools through the community to bring awareness against all forms of child abuse”. She is Vice President of the Faculty Senate Board serving since 2023 at Florida National University.
Ms. Exceus earned a Master of Science in Criminal Justice, with a certificate of Forensic Technology Investigations from Nova Southeastern University in June 2011.
